After a bit of a delay, my flight touched down at Logan just after 2pm. Ashley scooped me up from the airport and we made our way to Cambridge.
This year’s Healthy Living Summit was held at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.
After checking out the jam-packed swag bags and trying on our new Reebok RealFlex Fusion TRs, our first roommate Jamie arrived! Our honorary 5th roommate Kristin also came over and we all enjoyed a glass of wine before heading out to Harvard Square for dinner.
After dinner was the cocktail party, held in the Riverside Pavilion and sponsored by Rebootizer. We hit the bar to redeem our drink tickets for a few cocktails and then started mingling.

Saturday morning was the group long runs but Shannon and I opted to move our run to Sunday morning. We were both exhausted after a long day on Friday so the best option was to rest instead.
The day kicked off with breakfast at 8am provided by the event’s gold sponsor, Wild Harvest, followed immediately by opening remarks and an ice breaker session. I really enjoyed the ice breakers since it was a great way to chat with a few new people before heading into sessions for the day.
When it came to sessions, it was tough to decide which ones to attend! After reviewing the agenda, these are the ones I ended up sitting in on:
I’m not going to recap the sessions because many other bloggers have done so already, but I will say that the content was awesome. I took a ton of notes and tweeted out great quotes & tips from the awesome panelists.
Check out this post to find the hashtags associated with each and view tweets from the sessions. If you’re interested in hearing about any of the ones I attended, feel free to leave a note in the comments below or shoot me an email! I’d be happy to do a separate post.
Saturday evening I attended a Chobani dinner hosted by EVOO in Cambridge. I’ll recap this meal in a separate post because it deserves your undivided attention! Absolutely amazing.
Sunday morning Shannon and I popped out of bed at 6am to get in a few miles before the group 5K.
It was a beautiful morning and we were so happy to be running in 61 degree weather rather than the standard summer heat & humidity. We wrapped up our run just under 4.5 miles and then met up with the group back in the lobby.

We made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up taking a different route than everyone else. I didn’t mind though – it was still scenic! We picked up Emily along the way and the three of us chatted away as we ran through both Cambridge and Boston.
Post-run we made our way back to the Riverside Pavilion one last time! Our breakfast crew was pretty awesome:

Overall I had a pretty kickass weekend. I connected with quite a few new blog friends and left Cambridge feeling incredibly inspired. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend HLS in 2013 – maybe it’ll be in Austin? That would be sweet!
Huge thanks to Meghann, Julie, and Heather for putting on such an awesome event!
Did you attend the Healthy Living Summit? What did you think? Have you ever attended a blog conference?
